TSKI takes first step in deepening services to microfinance borrowers through the Business Development Services technology transfer from ACTUAR, of Medellin, Columbia.

Business Advisory and Creation were the two critical services needed by microfinance clients in the Philippines. Having the proper institutional orientation , the right diagnostic methods and tools, and basic software were the heart of the technology imparted by ACTUAR in a two week theory and hands on training workshop held at the new TSKI Training Center in Boracay Island, from February 14 - February 26, 2005.

The strength of ACTUAR's rigorous diagnostic tools coupled with an all encompassing business planning and advisory software will greatly enhance BDS service provision to TSKI clients. The workshop entailed hands- on and actual field diagsotic interview of clients, and afterwards, return to their place of business to give advisory.

Adapting the tools and software to the Philippine experience of TSKI will be the next step as CODESPA see the promise of this project to create a deeper and lasting impact to poverty alleviation in the country side.
