TELEVISION ESPAÑOL HongKong News Bureau Covers CODESPA's APPEND Project
 
Television journalists of TV Español Asia Pacific news bureau based in Hong Kong covered Codespa's microfinance project with the APPEND (Association of Philippine Partners in Enterprise Development), while here in the Philippines for the May 10, 2004 election coverage. An APPEND member-partner, the Kabalikat Para sa Maunlad na Buhay, Inc.(KMBI) assisted TVEs exposure to some of its client's projects in an urban poor community in Baclaran, Parañaque City.

On the picture below, a TVE camera man films the mat weaving of women borrowers.
Ms. Calaf interviewed the housewives on the impact of credit and their small livelihood projects to them and their families. CODESPA finances the institutional and microfinance program strengthening activities of six APPEND network members, including that of KMBI.
