| Last October 1, at the UAP board room, the board of
trustees of Codespa-Asia convened for the first time to
discuss the rationale for Codespa Asias existence
and to seal various issues in the incorporation. |

| Mr. Pablo Iglesias, who led the presentation about Codespa
throughout the session briefed members on the history
of Fundacion Codespa as a whole, and their work in Asia
specifically the Philippines. A crucial point in his presentation
were the objectives of Codespa-Asia vis-à-vis Fundacion
Codespa, and the areas of complementation, overlap, and
financing responsibilities between Fundacion Codespa and
Codespa Asia. |

| Dr. Bernardo M. Villegas, presided as Chairman of the
Board. Other trustees present were former Senator Santanina
T. Rasul, former Tourism Secretary Mina T. Gabor, Mr.
Ives Q. Nisce of Rang-ay Bank, Prof. Ronald T. Chua of
the AIM, Ms. Annabelle P. Brown, and the Asia Delegate
Mr. Pablo Iglesias. Trustees not present were Amb. Jesus
P. Tambunting, Chair of Plantersbank and Mr. Juan B. Santos,
Chair of Nestle, Phils. |
